This year one of my goals was to cut spending in different areas. The biggest one was groceries.
Each week I feel that we just throw away so much uneaten food. Such a waste!
After a lot of research, I have found some good tips to share with you.
1) Budget only $100 per person per month. For example, we have 3 people in our family so we budget $300 a month for groceries. This includes diapers, paper towels, etc.
2) Only go to the grocery ONE time a week. We would be halfway through the week and I would run in the grocery to grab one thing and come out with a bagful of unneeded things.
3) Before starting your grocery list each week, look in your fridge, freezer, and pantry for items on hand. Each week I would think of meals that I would need to buy 6 or 7 items for. NO MORE!! Check your fridge, freezer, deep freeze, and pantry first. You might have half a carton of chicken broth in your fridge. Look on Pinterest of recipes with chicken broth. SO MANY IDEAS!!
